White Islands
By Janice Gutenberg

White Islands in the sea of space
Tow’ring o’er my head
Embellishment bids thought to turn
Eternity’s ahead.

Seems long, this road, ‘mid toiling hours
Praise, ‘twill only be
When lifted up from bed of clay
The Master, Judge, to see.

Upon White Islands of the sea
Castles point toward Love
With soul in tune, nought else to care
But e with Him above.

Oh, toil, Oh, grief, Oh, pain with tear
Soon the grave must claim
A hope within, a door of love
His promise be my aim.
White Islands in thesea of space
Tow’ring o’er my head
Embellishment bids thought to turn
Eternity’s ahead!

The Greatest Thing This Side of Heaven
By Janice Gutenberg

The greatest thing this side of heaven
To see a friend of mine

With whom I’ve helped to show the truth
Accept God’s word divine

To see a love within the heart
Which once misplaced had been

Turned now upon that cruel cross
And Jesus’ death for sin.
